The Difference Between iPhone, Android and BlackBerry People

As many of you may have heard, the people over at recommendations engine, Hunch.com, analyzed data from 700,000 users to break down the differences between iPhone people and Android people.

While 32% of the respondents were iPhone people, 21% were Android people, and the rest fell into either the Blackberry category or none of the above. The results were presented for both iPhone and Android, yet not for Blackberry. As a Blackberry owner, I wanted to make sure to include in-line results with those revealed from the study. The results are both surprising and reassuring of your expectations of the people, all at the same time.

  • iPhone people are more likely to live in the city
  • Android people are more likely to live in the suburbs or the country
  • Blackberry people are more likely to live in the past

 

  • iPhone people are more likely to have graduate degrees
  • Android people are more likely to have a high school degree – and that’s it
  • Blackberry people are more likely to have a degree of frustration when operating their device

 

  • iPhone people are more likely to be Liberal
  • Android people are more likely to be Conservative
  • Blackberry people are more likely to be confused about politics because it is difficult to keep up with the news

 

  • iPhone people are more likely to earn >$200,000 per year
  • Android people are more likely to have an income between $50,000 and $100,000
  • Blackberry people are more likely to earn >$500,000 per year and spend a majority of it on their phone and phone plan

 

  • iPhone people like spending their money
  • Android people like saving their money
  • Blackberry people like saving their money, and spending it to buy a new Blackberry every 3 months as one dies

 

  • iPhone people are extroverts
  • Android people are introverts
  • Blackberry people are introverts, spending most of their time talking to their phone
